I am considering mounting and making a solo seat for my 77,anybody here done it ?i'm interested in mounting ideas and methods,I have some ideas of my own but would enjoy any ideas to study,I know the factory plunger seat does not seem viable,although I heard it called 57-78 factory plunger seat,as far as the seat itself some padding and tooling oak tanned leather is ,maybe,the material,what guage steel for the pan ( I think 10 guage?) I like the tooled leather look and I work leather,my reservations are long runs and comfort,although a Lot of that is how I fit the pan to my 4$$ and I could always make a second with more padding and softer leather for trips of duration.also the springing of it has me thinking,I could simply rely on the swingarm for cushion,use a leaf spring that could be hid underneath or the normal coils,though I have heard that coils look redundant on a swingarm but it dies not bother me if it means long range comfort!the working of it( metalwork ,leatherwork etc.) no problem I just want to chew a few ideas to avoid wasting time.I am busy right now but I like to look ahead for the next project,thanks
