Back in January I decided to do something crazy. I submitted my application for the 2015 Iron Butt Rally. The deadline to submit the first payment was Feb 15. When that came and went I figured I was not selected. Then I saw some posts on the Iron Butt Forum that they had not picked the participants yet.
Well today after I got done putting the Sporty back together I came in and checked my email. Saw one with a subject of Iron Butt Rally and opened it. The first sentence read:
Congratulations! Your application was drawn for entry in the 2015 Iron Butt Rally!
I am in shock! I never expected this. When completing my application I had to list all the multi day rallies I had done and the certified Iron Butt Assoc rides I had completed. It was a rather short list. Now the training will commence!
