2001 Sporty 1200 custom.....From the top....I was installing a new ignition mudule for the first time and i pulled the cam cover off,well all the cams fell out.
So i found the specs on putting them back in, but instead of lineing them up on top dead center ( one single line) i did it on the two dots 5 or 10% advanced.
Ive been told that T.D.C. is not that important as long as all the dots are in line on the cams.
After everything was said and done I finally got good spark, but i can not get my bike to run write and i cant help but think it has something to do with my prevous adventure....cleaned the carb and jets...the bike will fire and run if i work the throttle but will not idle or reliably fire up. Any thoughts would be greatly apriciated.
