Ironhead Homebrew rear fender stay/battery tab

Hi there,

In a galaxy far, far way...

I've been working on that fender stay. If you remember I needed to extend it to meet the rear fender - I don't understand why but theres quite a big gap between what is there already and where my fender stops, I can only imagine its to do with the profile on the render itself as it is as far forward as I can get it.

Anyhoo this is what I had -



I made a template out of cardboard -





Moved that into some cold hard steel -



Used my fly press to put some shape into it and then tried it out for size -





Not a bad fit but there is more to do here. I next need to make a fixing to bolt the fender to the stay, it looks like I will have to jiggle things around a bit but is getting there...quite pleased with last night's efforts :)
