About a year ago I bought a set of forks from a guy of the Craigslist. I assume that they are Nightster forks or Iron forks since they were painted black from the factory when I got them. I recently had the legs powder coated and am putting them back together. I checked on here and read most the threads about front forks. I'm not sure the fork oil spec to use since I don't know for sure what model they came off. does anyone know the stock fork spring and spacer length of the Nightster/Iron or Low. I'm guessing thats the reason for the different amounts of oil needed for the models.
One final question-the little copper washer for the bottom bolt. does that go outside the tube? I don't remember:frownthre
The little col let item 6 in the diagram has a groove on the bottom that seems like a washer should go in there, but the washer/bolt (10) shows it mounts from the bottom![]()
