The brown truck finally showed up with all my goodies today!
Some of them shown below

Came today or had sitting patiently at home:
Hammer 1250 kit w/ 30 degree reverse dome pistons
dyna2000i ignition
Impact .560 cams
Oversized valve conversion
Bronze oil pump gear(because when in Rome)
Mikuni HSR42
Bike is a 95 XL883 w/approximately 22k miles stock

On deck to be ordered(I went well over my initial budget so unfortunately, exhaust and intake have to wait another month):
V&H short shots(was originally going with a defender but I REALLY hate how they look). Found a dyno comparison between the v&h pipes and defender, decided to (for now) sacrifice a bit...for now...because... OMFG I hate how the defender looks(just really not my taste at all)
Undecided on intake right now but I may cap off the other Hammer goodies with an Impact cleaner.
Now a bit of good stuff:

The only issue I had so far was I was sent the wrong grindlock for the pinion gear. I called Hammer and they shipped out the right one immediately and I'll just send the wrong one back. With a little farm boy ingenuity we fabricated a grindlock of sorts because while I've been practicing patience, dammit I want to ride. It came off no problem and quick work was made of replacing the old oilpump gear.

I did have to clearance above cam 3 a bit, nothing a dremel and a little bit at a time can't fix(don't know how well it can be seen here)

I was originally a bit nervous about the cams but lining up the marks turned out to be a no brainer.

I dropped the lifters back in and by that point, my wife had showed up and was ready for dinner so I cleaned up ever so slightly and we went out.
Wife works late tomorrow so I have a good 5-6 hours between when I get done work and back in the garage and when she is done.
Hoping to get her damn near buttoned up if everything works like it's suppose to.
