Hammer 1250 Conversion

I'm not going to provide any technical info because there are far more qualified people to get that from and there's plenty of good info on this forum!

What I am going to say is if you're considering doing the conversion, but are concerned about how difficult it is - take it from me if you are patient, read the directions on the Hammer site and follow the service manual you can do the basic Cylinders/Pistons/Ignition/Air box/Clutch swap. I didn't do heads/cams or any other go fast stuff.

My mechanical experience is limited to doing brakes on the family cars and replacing a starter or two i.e., I had to barrow a buddies in-lbs and ft-lbs torque wrenches. Now I didn't get it done in 6 or 7 hours, but after a couple long days it fired right up. I got a little help from a buddy who is far more qualified than me, but he mainly babysat my dumb a:censors to make sure I didn't totally screw the pooch.

Here's a post of the first 10 second heat cycle http://xl.duffeyclan.com/?p=285

I also can't speak to other products on the market, but what I can say is the customer service and email support from Hammer Performance was World Class (I needed some coaching). Even the pre-sale process of asking questions was awesome with the Hammer guys.

-Dyna Ignition
-185/45 Jets
