As some of you may remember, Robevans * Robert Evans* was here awhile back with transmission issues.
myself and a couple others gave our advice, and helped to guide him along the way...
eventually, he made the decision to buy all new Andrews shaft and gears.
during this process, I offered him my phone number, and we made contact, during which, I basically offered advice on setup clearances, and mostly, assured* that he was building the trans correctly. ( its sometimes easier to actually talk* with someone during the actual process* while assembly is taking place, for those quick questions, or reassurance).
he offered to send me my fav beverage, which my reply was...
"instead, take your wife out to dinner, and enjoy the bike"
which according to him...was shifting smooth and soild.
I no longer drink enough to make it worth anyones effort* :)
well, about a few weeks or so later..I receive a package from a Robert Evans from Fla.. hmmmmmmm ok who the hell is this sending me something??
( it didn't register till I opened the package) Inside

really nicely done
then the kicker...
A book called " The Devil IS In The Details "
a book of very high definition, excellent photography, of bikes that have had * different, and unique items, or fab'd unusual things that would make you go
* Wow Cool* Interesting* Awsume*..you know totally unique*
I'd guess a couple hundred pics...
and guess who the author is???
Robert Evans..
and he is also the photographer*
I have a signed with a thank you for the help...volumn 1 book from him...
now...what a class act ....:cheers
