Hi from MeVagus and me

Hi All :banana,

I would like to introduce my Sporty (MeVagus - Latin for I wander, roam, rove) and myself. I will publish photos soon.

MeVagus is a 2000 XL53C I just bought - with some performance mods. What is evident is stage one Screaming Eagle air/fuel system. What is not obvious is unknown to me. Who made the mods, what mods were made and when are the main questions. What I do know is that she pulls strong, sounds good, and is fun to ride (reminds me of the '80 XLS I rode for seven years in the eighties). Her clutch, front forks, rear shocks, and brakes need attention (rear shocks and clutch being the most urgent).

I am a native of SoCal, and a retired Air Force NonCom living in Orange County. I am married to my best friend and love of my life, Eileen. She spoils me rotten.

I also own and ride a 2012 Royal Enfield C5, Rocinante (named after Don Quixote's steed - read plow-horse - which he rode to his adventures).

I hope to learn as much as possible about Sportsters and share past, present, and future adventures :feedback (like doing the SS1000 on Rocinante).
