45 Pilot and 195 main, no baffles, any help?

Hi

New to the forum today as im starting to work on my carb and need some help..

I have a sportster 1200 (was bored out from 883), its a 2003 model with an aftermarket arlen ness air filter and the exhaust has no baffles.
Ive had this bike for a few months and its been running pretty badly but finally got time to work on it.

The engine always seems to be running hot and i get occasional backfiring, worse thing is when i turn it off it pops for a few seconds before finally sounding like it just died!

Anyway, just did some basic spark and oil change and now onto the carb. Im new to this so have been reading and think my bike is running to lean.

From my understanding i should have a 45 pilot and maybe a 180 main jet, have just taken mine out and its a 45 pilot but 195 main?

Is that too big for my bike with current exhaust and air filter?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks
