Long story short I've got a bike that I cannot title or register in the state of California.
Back in November I bought a 1988 sporster with less than 6k miles on it. Took it to AAA to get it registered about mid December I received a letter from the California dmv saying they need a smog compliance letter from the manufacturer. So I fax off my info to Milwaukee about a week later I get a voicemail from hd saying they can't issue me said certificate because the bike isn't compliant. So I call the number for the dmv and the bone head pretty much says with out that document I can't get a title for the bike. Has anyone else dealt with this issue and where do I go from here
