I'm a vet of the U.S. Air Force. I started riding the first couple years in the military on dirt bikes and crotch rockets. Now that I'm out I want to sit back and relax with knees to the breeze.
I acquired my first Harley last year, a barely running 1983 XLX Ironhead. As an aircraft mechanic in the military and private sector I'm confident and knowledgeable to read and abide by a manual (still searching ebay for a factory manual, but I make due with an aftermarket one).
As of now, she is running. Not well, but running. I'm getting closer. This bike gave me the greatest gift of all, PATIENCE.
