Is there a right and/or wrong tuner to buy?

Its a little longwinded, and ive already posted this in the wrong forum, so thanks for reading...if you make it through!!!!!;)

Im hoping that as much as this new thread may help me, it will help others in simialr situations have a few questions answered, and also save them a ton of time!

I am a new rider who picked up my first sporty just this past summer. I am the proud papa of a 2009 XL1200 Low, and shes beautiful! Ive done a few things to make her mine, but shes pretty much stock other than a Ness stage1 Big Sucker, as well as new V&H Staggered Shortshots, aside from that everything else has been cosmetic.

Over the past few weeks i have tried my best to decide which tuner, if any, would be the right one for me. Now because im a new rider, and have already spent a small fortune on my sporty, budget is important, however, i want my machine to run well. Im not nescessarily looking for max hp, just some good throttle response, fuel efficiency, and probably most important right now is correct fuel and ir mix, with the upgrades ive done.

Fuelpak was my first choice, mainly due to price at first, but also heard good things from people who knew my situation and what i was looking to get out of a tuner. While i know its very limited in what it can do, will it get me what im looking for, and are they reliable??? Any comments on Fuelpak are appreciated.

Over the past week or so, i have really looked hard at the Dynojet Power Vision. At twice the price, it does a ton more than fuelpak, and ive heard nothing but positive things from anyone who has any experiance with it whatsoever. My concern is ease of use. I consider myself a novice garage mechanic, and im comfortable with most of my sporty's "bits and pieces" . The one negative ive heard about the unit is the preloaded map, for my setup really isnt that great, and im wondering if there are maps out there that are matched perfectly to my set up, or will it just be a foreign language to me if i try to run the bike with the PV hooked up and then adjust the settings/remap myself.

I know in the future the PV will help me do a lot more, and has a ton of extra features that i would be able to use, but just cant pull the trigger on one when I THINK, the Fuelpak will give me what i need right now.

HELLLLLPPPPPP!
