Ok, so a while back I posted about a 1200 conversion to be more specific it was a screamin eagle stage 2 with E grinds cams from screamin eagle and high compression piston 10.1:1 to be correct. I was going to have the heads ported because another shop had told me that's what they would do. This other shop told me that with the cam choice there would be lifter issues because lifter are made in msxico. and they recommended after market ones but never gave me a name, they also said that 9 times out of 10 the cams are not installed properly on sportsters and valve train failure is the result. so recently take it to a different shop and start picking the guys brain and he tells me that he has never heard of that with bolt in cams and that with this kit head porting would be more or less a waste of money? He also told me to dump the Screamin Eagle Pro Race Tuner and go with a power commander 5? Just wondering if any or all these statements made by two different shops is true?
