Is Bad Judgement worse today than in years past?
A guy at work made some bad decisions that will probably result in loss of his professional license and will never be able to work in the profession he made the effort to get a PhD in. Probably will have to face criminal charges, fines, and a long term severe personal financial crisis. Young guy, out of school only 3 years.
I personally never liked the guy, frequently doubted his professional competency, and avoided him as much as possible. I cannot believe he would sacrifice his career for a short term gain of a few thousand dollars.
I'm 59 years old and have made a few bad decisions in my life. But it seems I am seeing more and more outright stupidity around me all the time.
