Rubbermount_EVO Finished project pics.... Finally

Hi All,

Thought I'd finally figure out how to post pics and show you guys how the bike has turned out so far. It's been a long journey and I'm sure there will be a few changes yet but for now I'm gonna call it done.

This was my starting point, an 04 883 with cracked engine cases (right at the swing arm pivot shaft)

This was the (more or less) finished result :)
I've since then swapped to a 21" front wheel

I'll try to list most of the mods I've done (or had done for me..)

Engine:
Swapped out the 883 for a complete 06 1200C engine
Hammer Performance:
1250 kit with reverse dome pistons
Crush Head Porting
Crush .600 Cams
Billet intake manifold
Mikuni HSR 45 Carb
Air Hammer 3" Air Intake
Thunderheader exhaust
TC88A Ignition
And of course the upgraded valve train components.

I can't thank Aaron and Dan enough for helping me out, they really took me under their wing and helped me get this bike sorted out. I'd had it at another custom shop up where I live in Canada and was having nothing but problems.. I pulled it outta in pieces after six months and trucked her down to Aaron and Dan. They really saved my riding season for me.
Finally got it broken in and took it back to Aaron in November for dyne tuning:
105HP
87 Torque

The rest of the bike:
-2011 Wideglide front end with 3 degree raked neck cups (managed to increase the overall rake to around 34ish degrees)
4 piston dyna front caliper.
-17" Street Bob rear wheel. Custom wheel spacers, offset 70T rear pulley etc..
Had to upgrade the whole rear end (swing arm/axle/brakes/rotor) to newer components to accommodate the 25mm axle needed for the Dyna wheel.
In the end though the newer rear brake setup with the thicker 10.5" diameter rotor was a nice bonus and the rear brake is much more responsive.
-Progressive 440 11.5" rear shocks (wish I'd gone with 12.5")
-HD Analog tach/digital speedo combo unit (awesome)
-Badlands run/turn/brake unit to eliminate the tail light.
-A bunch of other odds and ends... paint, powder coat etc..

Overall I'm extremely happy with the way it's turned out. With the raked wide glide front end the bike turns a little slower (more like the big bike feel of a dyna) but is incredibly stable at high speeds, still with the nimble frame of a sportster.

The incredible guys on this forum were absolute lifesavers while I was getting this done and I can't thank you all enough!

Cheers!

Johnny
