Fair value for a early to mid-90s XL, I think it's an 883. Buying one that was sittin

Hey there.

In your guys' estimation (I'm asking here because so many of us have either bought fairly recently or are looking at the market) what would an early to mid 1990s Sportster be worth in original condition, and supposedly pretty low miles?

I got about a minute to look at it, she is elderly and didn't know the year (said it was '76, obviously not) Solid wheels and the number 5 decal logo, that kind of reddish paint. I dunno exactly the year.

It's been sitting in a damp little garage, covered, for quite awhile.

All fluids drained.

My first concerns would be rubber (gaskets & tires, especially gaskets) electrical problems, etc.

It's completely original and aside from oxidation on the cases, fine shape I guess.

So while I wasn't in the market for an 883, she really wants to sell to me and I need to make sure I'm paying a fair price, but also a deal to me.

I'm factoring in a 1200 conversion as well, which in parts goes for $500-1000 last I checked.

Any opinions are welcome. I have an Ironhead and a shitload of metrics, so this might be an affordable way to get introduced to the EVO era.

Happy holidays to yall. -S
