On a ride today with Simeli , I went across a bridge and hit some washboarded pavement. My front wheel started vibrating and bouncing up and down, like a basketball. Not a good feeling, wobbled a little but mostly uncontrolled bouncing for 4-5 seconds and then quit, thank god! As I was doing about 60.
I did not speed up or slow down, felt almost like the dreaded death wobble, except not as bad. The only time in the next 20 miles was in a curve. I hit a small bump leaning in, got some vibs and straightened up a little and it stopped.
The tired are new and we checked the front end quickly and couldn't get any movement. Which leads me to the tire and also disassembling the front end for peace of mind!
Have any of you experienced this? Thanks, Brian
