Tried to post this in the Bobber section but I don't see a prefix that fits me. 99 XL883C/1200 is what I got.It has a Bob tank and I need a lil' help understanding how these work....:geek.It has 2 caps.The right one I use to fill up with but the other one doesn't seem to even come off, although I ain't tried anything more than just twisting it off.The left cap also has some sort of rubber on the bottom of it like someone might have "glued" it down with a gasket maker.What is that caps purpose and should it come off???? Next question is about under the tank.I have a cross over tube(?) Yet when I fill up it only seems to fill one side.I know I might sound dumb as hell but any ol' how.......Now for the petcock..........no matter what position I have it in,the bike runs the same.It is on the same side as the mystery cap.I was assuming in the off position,I could go 4 or 5 miles and it should kill the engine but it doesn't.I'm thinking it might be vacuum operated but I don't know.Any help is huge since I'm clueless about now. :frownthre
